My love
I drew this on my phone using an app called “Sketch n draw”. Keep in mind I had a small surface to work on ~ it would have been way easier if I had an iPad.

Here is my latest self-portrait. I know that people who take a lot of self portraits get a reputation for themselves. People may call them self-centered or narcissistic. Maybe they have low self-esteem and want compliments. Maybe they’re trying to reach out, but they don’t know how. One thing is for sure though is that there is a huge audience for self-portraits. People love to people watch. We are social creatures, and the most interesting thing outside of our own minds are the minds of others, and we can catch glimpses of that by observing others. Maybe the ones making the negative comments are people who love to people watch because they love to judge other people. Maybe they just wish they felt enough confidence to take self-portraits of themselves. Either way, I believe that we should encourage the art of self-portraiture. Our lives are all unique and intriguing in their own way and should be documented and shared and enjoyed. To get to this point, we will have to face body acceptance issues, cultural norms, and negative people face on. I don’t see anything wrong with starting that fight if the goal is that we all love ourselves and each other a little more.

I never wear my hair up. Maybe I should. I kinda like hiding behind my hair, though. I’m actually very shy.

This is from last summer when I had my “I love feathers!”-months. Haven’t done anything with this until now. Not sure what I think about it, but I love the colors.
