you’re merely a butterfly, trapped
Russia-based artist Leonid Tishkov and photographer Boris Bendikov have collaborated to created a series titled Private Moon, which chronicles the relationship between a man and the illuminated planet. Tishkov calls this installation a “visual poem, telling the story about a man who found the Moon and stayed with her for the rest of his life.”
You know when you’re shopping and you find this gorgeous dress that you feel that you just HAVE to have? And then you carry it around with you in the store, while looking at other clothes and then suddenly you take a 2nd look and you think
“Hey, wait a minute, I don’t NEED this? It’s nice and all, but I don’t HAVE to have it.”
and you put it back on the rack, and you actually feel good about not buying it? I’ve learned to do that, after being a bit too impulsive when shopping.. but the thing is, I have learned to do this when it comes to men as well.

I remember when I took this picture. I woke up one morning & realized that I had fallen asleep with my makeup still on, and I wanted to see how messed up it was. And then, as it turns out, it wasn’t messed up at all. I actually looked kinda smashing. This must have been in 2005 or something.
In the nineteenth century, a morbid and curious custom has spread to various parts of the world: the photos were ”Post Mortem”.
”Post Mortem” comes from Latin, meaning ”Post Mortem”, or after death.
Even today, as strange as it may seem, in some places still have this custom. The girl who is standing in the photo is the one who is dead.
This is a classic example of photographic art.
